She graduated from Jodhpur and did her PGDM in Mass communication and Journalism from St Paul’s, Mumbai.
She started her journalistic career in 2014 as a court and crime reporter.
In 2015 she covered crime, court, health, civic, education and central agencies.
Before joining CNBC TV-18, she covered crime, courts, central agencies, political developments, civic issues and health.
Santia won NT and ENBA awards for her coverage of migrant laborers' plight during the Covid-19 pandemic and for health infrastructure exposed during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Santia is based out of Mumbai but has also reported from Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Bihar, Haryana and other states.
At CNBC-TV18, Santia covered the ongoing economic crisis in Sri Lanka and brought stories explaining what went wrong in the island nation and how badly it is affecting the people.
