In India, only 18 percent have access to personal mobility solutions. Walking and cycling are still predominant modes of transport in cities.

CNBC-TV18’s Young Turks team brings in the story of bike taxi service Rapido, which has managed to survive an ambush by Ola and Uber. It is a two-wheeler ride-hailing app which is present in 25 cities.
The co-founders of Rapido, Aravind Sanka, Pavan Guntupalli and Rishikesh SR talk about how they spotted an opportunity in bike taxis and started the firm.
The co-founders of Bounce Vivekananda HR, Varun Agni and Anil G found an opportunity in bike rental service when they realised the lack of motorcycle rental companies in India. The trio started off with premium bike rentals called Wicket Ride and then went on to start the micro mobility scooter rental play called Bounce. As of today, it has 8,000 scooters deployed across nine cities.
Vogo is a point to point scooter sharing company in which Ola has committed to invest $100 million. Sanchit Mittal, Padmanabhan B and Anand Ayyadurai are the brains behind Vogo.
