The Palestinian death toll has exceeded 9,000, alarming the United Nations which is cautioning of "genocide."
Meanwhile, on the 28th day of the conflict, Israeli forces encircled Gaza City engaging in combat with Hamas militants.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that the Security Cabinet decided to deduct all funds designated for the Gaza Strip. He posted, "Israel is severing all contact with Gaza. There will be no more Palestinian workers from Gaza. Those workers from Gaza who were in Israel on the day of the outbreak of the war will be returned to Gaza."
This comes amid growing concern that the ongoing conflict may end up drawing in more hostile groups against Israel.
