In the last few months, Maharashtra has seen many large-ticket infrastructure projects being inaugurated and flagged off. The BJP and its allies see these projects as key ammunition for their campaign to win the state that houses India’s financial capital.

The Shiv Sena-led government claims it has projects worth a cumulative ₹8 lakh crore in various stages of development across the state. It believes these will boost manufacturing, industrial activity, and tourism in Maharashtra. Small wonder then, that every political party in the state wants credit for these projects
