Date and month of launch:
Earlier, sources had told news agency ANI that the first Vande Bharat train, with newly designed sleeper coaches, will be rolled out by February 2024. However, an official told CNN-News 18 that they are expecting that the train will be rolled out around the New Year. According to News 18 Hindi, the trial of these trains will take place in December 2023.

Key features: The train is expected to have wider berths and an overall brighter interior than the current sleeper coaches, News 18 reported. It might also offer better comfort and class to the passengers. The Railways might also offer upgraded and spacious toilets and a dedicated charging port for each passenger. Ramps and wheelchairs may also be there, especially for disabled passengers.

Who will make Vande Bharat sleeper trains: Sources said that the new design of Vande Bharat sleeper coaches will be manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory(ICF) and Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML).
How many coaches will Vande Bharat sleeper trains have: The ICF, according to News 18, is working on a 16-coach initial design. The fully AC train is expected to have 11 three-tier coaches, four two-tier coaches, and one first-class coach. There is a plan to prepare 120 Vande Bharat trains in collaboration with the Russian company, News 18 Hindi said.

Similarities and difference: The Vande Bharat is going to have better and enhanced features than that in Rajdhani and Tejas. However, apart from the fact that it will have sleeping arrangements, the sleeper and chair-car version of the Vande Bharat train are going to be similar.
"The sleeper version is also being designed to run at a speed of 160 km per hour and will have a dedicated pantry in each coach," News 18 reported. "The state of art features of the Vande Bharat trains will be there in the sleeper version also. The new trains will have on-board infotainment, a public announcement system and a facility for passengers to speak to the loco pilot in case of emergency," officials said.
Route: The route and colour of the train has not been finalised yet, News18 Hindi reported.
Speed, Safety and Service are believed to be the hallmarks of this train. Equipped with world-class features, the Vande Bharat Express promises a comfortable journey to passengers, the report said.
India's first semi-high-speed train was named Vande Bharat Express in January 2019. The train achieved a maximum speed of 180 kmph on the Kota-Sawai Madhopur section. The first Vande Bharat Express, between New Delhi and Varanasi, was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019. As of now, 33 Vande Bharat Express trains are operating in the country. Two trains have been kept in reserve.
