Tinna Trade acquires Fratelli Wines to become India's second-largest winemaker
Tinna Trade, an agricultural trading company, has acquired 100% stake in Fratelli Wines Pvt limited in a share swap deal. The deal will transform Tinna Trade into India's second-largest wine maker, sparking interest across the wine and beverages industry.

The acquisition, which involves Tinna Trade swapping shares with promoters of Fratelli Wines, will see Tinna Trade increase its stake in the wine company to nearly 97%, up from a mere 3%.
At a share issuance price of ₹72 per share, a 9% discount from the market price, Tinna Trade's valuation will now soar to over ₹227 crore. This deal not only marks Tinna Trade's foray into wine making but positions it as a formidable contender in India's burgeoning wine industry.
Tinna Trade's transition from agricultural trading to wine production highlights the company’s ambition to explore new avenues for growth. By leveraging Fratelli Wines' brand presence and distribution network, Tinna Trade aims to scale new heights in the wine industry, according to reports.

Fratelli Wines is known as the first Indo-Italian wine, stemmed from a partnership between Alessio and Andrea Secci, Kapil and Gaurav Sekhri, and Ranjit and Arjun Mohite Patil.
In 2020, Kapil Sekhri passed away at the age of 45. Sekhri suffered a cardiac arrest while jogging.
Meanwhile, Tinna Trade's acquisition of Fratelli Wines reflects the changing dynamics in the India’s wine market. As the second-largest wine maker in the country, Tinna Trade is expected to shake-up the wine industry.
