A recent video capturing the swanky Terminal 3 of Lucknow's Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport has been making waves, leaving viewers awe-inspired, including Minister Shantanu Thakur and business magnate Anand Mahindra. Their reactions to this architectural marvel have sparked widespread admiration for the airport terminal, which will open to the public in December 2024.

Meanwhile, Anand Mahindra praised the terminal's design, foreseeing it as a beacon of the city's renowned hospitality, eagerly anticipating his next visit to Lucknow.

The unveiling of the new passenger terminal (T3) at Lucknow's CCSI Airport, announced in 2018 by the then Minister of Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu, marks a significant milestone in the city's infrastructure development. Spanning an expansive land area of 1,11,367 square meters, the terminal boasts a spacious basement, a corridor seamlessly connecting T2 and T3 terminals, with a capacity to cater to over 13 million passengers annually.
With an estimated construction cost of ₹1,383 crore, the T3 Terminal is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities, including 75 check-in counters, 18 check-in kiosks, 30 lifts, and five escalators, ensuring smooth passenger flow and convenience. The design and interiors, meticulously crafted by Pascal and Watson, pay homage to the rich culture and heritage of Uttar Pradesh, adding a touch of elegance to the terminal's ambiance.

Furthermore, the terminal complex offers a multi-storey parking facility capable of accommodating 1,500 vehicles, coupled with over 5 km of stormwater drainages alongside the runway, enhancing operational efficiency and passenger comfort. Managed by Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL), the airport provides a host of services, ranging from self-check-in kiosks and prayer rooms to duty-free shops, catering to the diverse needs of travelers.
As travellers arrive or depart from the impressive T3 Terminal at Lucknow Airport, they will be greeted with not just architectural splendor, but a seamless travel experience that reflects the city's commitment to excellence in aviation infrastructure.
