Full-service carrier Vistara announced on December 1 that it has commenced daily direct flights between Delhi and Bali. "Bali is one of the most coveted holiday havens for travellers in India and we are excited to be the only airline currently to launch direct connectivity between Delhi and Bali. Given the close commercial and cultural ties that India and Indonesia share, Bali has also rapidly grown to be a key destination for corporate travel and MICE," Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan said in a release.
Vistara, a joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, has a fleet of 64 aircraft.

The carrier will also start direct flights on the Mumbai-Doha route on December 15. Recently, Vistara said that it will launch direct flight services to Doha in Qatar from Mumbai, starting December 15. Doha will be the airline's 50th destination in its network, which comprises both domestic and international operations, Vistara, the airline said.
"We are thrilled to introduce direct flights between Mumbai and Doha - the capital of Qatar and a burgeoning financial hub in the Middle East. Given the city's growing economic significance, this move not only further solidifies our presence in the Gulf region but also enhances our network offering from our Mumbai hub," Vinod Kannan, Chief Executive Officer of Vistara, said. The airline said it will be operating these services on the new route four times a week with an A321neo aircraft.
Bookings for the flights are being progressively opened on all channels, including Vistara's website, mobile app, and through travel agents, the release noted. In end-October, Vistara had announced that it launched daily flights to Hong Kong from Delhi International Airport. The inaugural flight, an A321 neo aircraft commenced from Delhi airport on October 29 and arrived at Hong Kong on October 30.
"The launch of direct connectivity to Hong Kong is in line with our strategy of steadily growing our international network. Hong Kong being amongst the world's top commercial hubs, attracts a lot of business, MICE and VFR travel from India, besides being a popular leisure destination," Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan said in a release.
