Air India Express is enhancing domestic flight connections from Mangaluru with the introduction of two new flights connecting Bengaluru to Mangaluru. The winter schedule, effective from November 15, not only strengthens the connectivity between these two cities but extends to Chennai, Kannur, Thiruvananthapuram, and Varanasi, according to a statement from the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA).

Anticipating a substantial surge in domestic passenger footfall, MIA officials highlight that the flight timings are designed for customer convenience and travellers can get seamless connections for international flights.
The Varanasi-Mangaluru connection, operational until November 25, sees Flight IX 782 departing from Varanasi at 8 am, landing at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 10.30 am, with a quick layover before departing from KIA at 11.10 am and arriving at MIA by 12.10 pm.

Additionally, Air India Express has introduced two more flights between Mangaluru and Bengaluru, bringing the total number of flights to the state capital from Mangaluru to seven, as the inaugural flight IX 782 commenced operations on Tuesday, with the second flight IX1795 operating on the Kannur-Bengaluru-Mangaluru route, receiving a warm welcome upon arrival.
Meanwhile, on November 17, Air India announced the inaugural ferry flight of its A350-900 aircraft from Singapore to Toulouse, marking a significant step toward its integration into the airline's fleet.
The Tata Group-owned carrier has placed an order for six A350-900 planes, with five slated for delivery by March 2024. Having completed the acquisition of its first A350-900 on September 29 through a finance lease transaction with HSBC via the GIFT City, Air India shared the exciting news on social media, stating, "Our @Airbus A350-900 takes off on its first ferry flight from Singapore to Toulouse in the new Air India colors."
CEO and MD Campbell Wilson also noted in a Friday message that the airline's "third A350 just completed receiving its new livery in Singapore" and is set to undergo final interior and equipment modifications in Toulouse.
