Prime Minister Modi is set to unveil two projects during his visit to Kashmir on March 7, promising to enhance the region's allure for travellers. The inauguration will commence with the integrated development project of the revered Hazratbal Muslim shrine.

To be revamped under the Pilgrimage Rejuvenation And Spiritual Augmentation Drive (PRASAD), the Hazratbal Shrine holds immense cultural significance in Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, the unveiling of the Sonamarg ski drag lift in Ganderbal district aims to revive tourism in the area, providing adventure seekers with a new attraction.
PM Modi will also introduce 42 novel tourist destinations and launch nine tourism initiatives under the 'Chalo India' campaign, catering to the global Indian diaspora. The PM’s visit marks a concerted effort to bolster Kashmir's tourism and economic sectors.
This journey marks Modi's second visit to Jammu and Kashmir in as many months, reinforcing his commitment to advancing the region's prosperity and cultural heritage, said Lt Governor Manoj Sinha at a gathering of Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu.

Meanwhile, Modi will inaugurate the holistic agriculture development programme and an exhibition of agri-entrepreneurs during his visit, PTI reported.
Kashmir witnessed fresh snowfall while rains lashed many areas in the plains on March 5, officials said that few areas in the higher reaches of the valley, including tourist resorts of Gulmarg, Tangmarg, and Doodhpathri received fresh overnight snowfall.
Few places may experience heavy to very heavy snow particularly over higher reaches of north, central and south Kashmir and Pirpanjal range of Jammu Division during this period. The plains of Kashmir may receive moderate rain or snow while the plains of Jammu may receive moderate rain with a possibility of heavy rain over Ramban, Udhampur and Reasi districts.
