This year the Navratri festival, dedicated to worshipping Goddess Durga, will be celebrated from October 15 to October 24.
With Navratri just around the corner, dance enthusiasts in Mumbai are gearing up to perfect their garba moves at various dance institutes in the city. From traditional steps to modern dance moves, these workshops promise a delightful learning experience for all participants. Here’s a list of top dance schools where you can ace that perfect move for Garba Nights:
Starting the festive season with a bang, Rangeela Raasleela offers a one-day workshop at Natraj Dance Studio, Borivali West. For just Rs 499, participants can learn the basics of Garba, including barrels, spin techniques and beginner’s steps. This one-day workshop brings the opportunity to brush up your skills and groove to the rhythm of Navratri.
Soni’s School of Garba Dance invites enthusiasts to weekend batches. The classes started on September 30 at Creative Stepz Studio, Juhu. Explore folk steps like 2-taali, 3-taali, hinch, popat, baithak, and partner steps. Classes run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sundays.

Learn a fusion of steps including spins, barrels, hinch, dodhiya, popat, and trishul. Classes are available in different time slots: 8 p.m. to 9 p.m., 9 p.m. to 10 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 11 p.m You can join for Rs 3,000 and dance your way into Navratri.
