Amid the worsening of the weather conditions in the national capital, several Delhi-bound trains have been crucially impacted. On Thursday, January 11, operations of 24 trains were disrupted due to the dense fog and cold wave across the northern region of the country.
According to the Indian Railways officials, the trains, including Rajdhani Express, have also faced a delay in services due to low visibility. Delhi-bound trains such as Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, Dibrugarh-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, Bengaluru-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, and Bhubneshwar-New Delhi Duronto Express are among many other trains that have been disrupted.

As per the full list shared by the Northern Railways, most of the trains are running an hour behind their scheduled time.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the national capital recorded a minimum temperature of 5.8 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning, while the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 15 degrees Celsius.
Besides, the dense fog condition in the region has decreased the level of visibility to 500 metres, as per the 8:30 am data recorded at the Safdarjung reading station. On the other hand, the visibility values at Palam recording station stood at 100 metres in the early morning.
Meanwhile, the Delhi airport authorities have informed the passengers on its regular operations to be normal. Sharing an advisory, Delhi Airport wrote, “Kind attention to all flyers!”

On Wednesday, Delhi experienced cold day conditions with moderate fog in isolated pockets around the capital city. The India Meteorological Department on Wednesday, January 11 issued a ‘Yellow’ alert for the cold day conditions.
