Challenging its competitors, Airtel has launched an all new Rs 169 plan for the customers. The new plan will be available on Paytm besides the official website of Airtel.
Under the plan, the telecom operator will offer 1 GB data daily along with unlimited national calling and free 100 local and national SMS daily. The plan will come with a 28 day validity and will be made available across the country.
The plan is a revision of the existing plan that was offered in January. It earlier offered 500 MB of daily data and did not provide additional benefits.
However, Airtel is not the only operator to come up with such schemes in the highly competitive sector. Airtel's offer looks more or less similar to that of Vodafone's.
Jio, on the other hand, offers unlimited calling, 1.5 GB high-speed 4G data daily, and 100 SMS per day with a validity period of 28 days.
Airtel is hopeful that the new scheme will prompt a large number of its 2G subscribers to migrate to 4G network.
