Upcoming Redmi phone will be the first in the world to feature ISRO’s NavIC. Xiaomi's Manu Kumar Jain took to Twitter to announce the news.
NavIC is India’s own satellite navigation system. It’s considered as an alternative to US-based GPS, Russia’s Glonass and Europe’s Galileo.
NavIC is designed to provide accurate positioning in India and 1,500 km around the Indian mainland.
