Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 13 series: Budget-friendly, mid-premium smartphones
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G come with a starting price of ₹29,999. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is priced at ₹23,999 for the base model, and the Redmi Note 13 5G will retail for a starting price of ₹16,999.
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 13 series in India on Thursday. The series comprises of three models — the Redmi Note 13 5G, the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G and the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G.
Leading the charge is the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G, the first smartphone in India to showcase a fusion design, the company said in a statement. It boasts a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. This design is paired with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, and a 200MP rear triple-camera system with a 16MP front camera. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity7200-Ultra 5G chipset.
It houses a 5,000mAh battery paired with 120W fast charging support. Xiaomi claims that the battery can reach a 100% charge in up to 19 minutes.
NFC support on the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G facilitates convenient contactless payments, offering users a streamlined option for daily transactions with a single tap of their smartphones.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is available in 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB RAM and storage configurations.
But beyond the flagship-tier device, the Redmi Note 13 5G and Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G also introduce compelling features.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has the same display specifications as its elder sibling but on a flat panel. The main camera system with 200MP main sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens and the 2MP macro also remain the same.
The device is run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. It features a slightly larger battery at 5,100 mAh but with a slower 67W fast charging. Unlike the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, this model only has an IP54 rating for a water and dust resistance.
It comes with 8GB and 12GB RAM options and up to 256GB of storage.
Lastly, the budget sibling in the range, the Redmi Note 13 5G, has a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. It runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The battery capacity is 5,000 mAh with 33W fast charging support. This model also comes with an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G come with a starting price of ₹29,999. The Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G is priced at ₹23,999 for the base model, and the Redmi Note 13 5G will retail for a starting price of ₹16,999.
The prices are inclusive of the launch offers. All devices will go on sale starting January 10.
