Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched MI Play in China. It is the first model from Xiaomi under Mi Play series.
The phone features a waterdrop-style display notch, a first of its kind from the company. The phone comes with octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 SoC as well as a dual rear camera setup. So far, MI Play is only available in China and Xioami is yet to announce the launch in other countries including India.
Price
In China, Mi Play is priced at CNY 1,099 (around Rs 11,000) for the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant. The smartphone comes in Black, Dream Blue, and Twilight Gold colour options along with a gradient finish.
Specifications
The dual-SIM (nano) MI Play runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 and sports a 5.84-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) display along with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
The phone sports a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor along with an f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor and comes with an LED flash. The front camera comes with an 8-megapixel sensor.
The Xiaomi Mi Play has 64 GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 256 GB). In terms of connectivity, the smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C. There is also a rear-facing fingerprint sensor. The Mi Play packs a 3,000mAh battery.
