WhatsApp has come up with its new 2.19.106 version, bringing some new features on the app. Among the new features is the new finger authentication feature, said wabetainfo.com that tracks WhatsApp updates.
When enabled, your fingerprint will be required to unlock the app. While you can reply to messages from notifications and answer calls even if the app is locked. However, there is a catch. You won't be able to take screenshots of conversations when 'fingerprint security' is enabled.
The updated version also comes up with a new user interface (UI) for the WhatsApp Doodle. While the WhatsApp Doodle UI is now accessible, fingerprint security is under development. The new UI includes two separate tabs for stickers and emojis.
WhatsApp recently announced a new privacy setting to the group invite system to give users more control over who can add them to groups.
In a bid to minimise fake news on its platform, WhatsApp is now testing a new feature within its Groups Settings to help users stop sending "Frequently Forwarded" messages.
The Facebook-owned platform is already working on two features that will help it's over 150 crore users know how many times a message has been forwarded.
The "Forwarding Info" and "Frequently Forwarded" features are not available yet but WhatsApp is working on these features in its Beta update for Android, said wabetainfo.com.
