vivo launches T2 Pro 5G in India — First impressions, price, features
Smartphone major vivo on Friday, September 22, announced an addition to its burgeoning portfolio — the T2 Pro 5G. The smartphone is part of vivo's 'series T' of smartphones and is priced starting at Rs 23,999. It will go on sale from 7 pm on September 29 on Flipkart and vivo's online store, the company said in a press release.

The T2 Pro 5G will available in two storage variants, both with 8 GM of RAM — 128 GB for Rs 23,999 and 256 GB for Rs 24,999. vivo is offering an instant discount of Rs 2,000 with ICICI and Axis Ban cards, as well as an additional exchange bonus of up to Rs 1,000.
The smartphone will come in two colour variants, Dune Gold and New Moon Black. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset and boasts a curved, 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It comes bundled with a 66W charger with vivo's proprietary FlashCharge technology and a 4,600 mAh battery, which the company claims will give users all-day battery life.
On the camera front, the T2 Pro 5G is equipped with a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS),  a 2 MP macro lens on the rear, and a 16 MP selfie camera.
First impressions
vivo sent me the 256 GB variant in Dune Gold for review, and it is an absolute stunner. It's not exactly gold in colour — more a gentle beige with streaks of glitter under the glass that really help it stand out. vivo has made some of the most attractive smartphones across segments this year, with the X90 Pro being its pièce de résistance. Even the chameleonic V27 Pro, with its colour changing back, had excellent design and display, plus great cameras.
The T2 Pro is ridiculously thin, at just 7.36 mm of thickness. The screen and the back curve into each other, and it weighs just 176 grams — all of these come together for a superlative in-hand feel.
The phone runs the Android 13-based FunTouch OS 13 out of the box, and it is fast, it looks great, and is packed with insanely customisable features.
vivo has always focused on photography on its devices and my initial impressions of the T2 Pro's shooters do little to make me think any differently. The primary camera takes some great daylight shots and really nice night shots, but you'll have to wait for my full review for a proper analysis. For now, suffice it to say that the T2 Pro seems like a solid camera smartphone.
The 8 GB of RAM can be dynamically extended by another 8 GB and this makes for a super smooth experience using the device, at least in my thus-far-limited time testing it. I will put it through its paces in the coming weeks and get back to you with my verdict.
