The second week of March has witnessed the launch of several new phones, with Samsung leading the way. Chinese manufacturer IQOO has also come up with a new offering for its Indian audience. Samsung Launches Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G:
Samsung has launched two new mid-budget phones– Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G. Featuring an AMOLED display. Both devices are priced between Rs 27,000 to Rs 40,00. These Android smartphones will get four generations of Android OS and OneUI upgrades while the security update tenure is five years. The top feature of the A55 5G is Nightography offering more vibrant pictures in low-light conditions. The Galaxy A35 5G comes with optical stabilisation in both image and video modes.
IQOO Z9 Launches Two Variants:
IQOO added a new member to its popular Z series on March 12. Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G processor, the latest IQOO Z9 comes with top-quality camera features. The smartphone is equipped with a 50MP Sony IMX 882 as its primary lens, along with a 2MP camera meant for the Bokeh mode. For the portrait mode, the zoom limit is 2x. The IQOO Z9 boasts an AMOLED display with a 120Hz Refresh Rate. It comes with 8GB RAM and customers can choose from two storage options– 128GB and 256 GB. The 128GB version of the IQOO Z9 is priced at Rs 17,999 while the higher variant costs Rs 19,999.
HP Announces lineup for AI-powered PCs:
HP has revealed the names of the upcoming AI-powered PCs, considering the need for AI-enabled tools to enhance productivity and job satisfaction. The lineup includes HP Elite x360 1040 14-inch G11 2-in-1 Notebook PC, HP EliteBook 1040 14-inch G11 2-in-1 Notebook PC and HP ZBook Power G11. These devices come with Copilot in Windows and Windows 11 Pro. The software is specially designed to offer high-performance computing solutions.
Epic Games vs Apple Battle Continued:
Epic Games, known as the developer of the popular battle-royale game Fortnite, has accused Apple of violating an injunction governing how its in-house app store works. The businesses have been engaged in a legal battle for nearly four years. Epic Games initially accused Apple of breaking antitrust laws by forcing users to download games through its dedicated App Store, which takes up to 30% of sales proceeds from in-app purchases.
The US Wants ByteDance To Sell TikTok:
ByteDance, which owns TikTok, may soon face pressure from the US to either shut down its operations here or outright prohibit the video-creation app. A bill stating ByteDance must sell off its ownership of TikTok within about six months for the app to remain available in the United States was recently approved by the House. The Senate still needs to approve this legislation before it becomes law.
