All the tech enthusiasts were in for a treat as the industry saw some major launches this week. From POCO launching the X6 series in India to Motorola introducing the budget-friendly g34 5G, some exciting gadgets were being introduced in the tech world. So, let’s look at the major developments that took place in the technological segment of this week:

Smartphone maker POCO has introduced its latest smartphone X6 series with the X6 and X6 Pro. Among the two phones, the POCO X6 Pro is the more expensive one and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor for seamless performance for demanding tasks. In terms of photography, the X6 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup, featuring a 64 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro lens.
On the front, it has a 16MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. On the other hand, the X6 comes with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor. Both X6 and X6 Pro will go live on January 16 exclusively on Flipkart.
Laptop and PC Maker HP has launched the OMEN 16 gaming laptop, which is powered by the 14th Gen Intel i7 processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 laptop GPU. The gaming laptop has a 16-inch Full HD display with a 165 Hz refresh rate and a 3 ms response time. It also comes with a storage capacity of up to 32 GB of RAM. The OMEN 16 Gaming Laptop is available with a starting price of 1,60,999.
The latest smartphone to enter the Indian market is the TECHNO POP 8. It comes with a 6.56-inch dot-in display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. It has 4GB of RAM, which can be virtually expanded to 8GB, and 64GB of internal storage. It also boasts a 5,000 mAh battery. For photography, the phone features a dual-camera system with a 12 MP primary lens and an AI lens. On the front is an 8MP camera for clicking selfies. The smartphone is available on Amazon with a starting price of 5,999.
Motorola has launched its first smartphone in 2024, g34 5G. The budget-friendly smartphone comes with a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 695 SoC, dual rear cameras, and a 5,000mAh battery. In terms of its variants, the base model, which has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at Rs. 10,999, while the top-end model, which has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, is priced at 11,999. The smartphone will be available on Amazon and its retail stores starting January 17.
Mobile maker vivo has introduced the all-new X100 series. This series has been launched with the aim of entering the premium segment, which has been dominated by Apple and Samsung. One of the highlights of the all-new X100 series, which comprises the X100 Pro and X100, is that it comes with a ZEISS camera to provide a high-quality imaging experience. The X100 variants start at 69,999, while the X100 Pro series starts at 89,999.
Infinix is all set to launch its new phone, the Smart 8, in the market. Smart 8 will feature a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a 500 nit peak brightness. In terms of storage, it comes with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It has been reported that the smartphone will be priced under 7,000.
