At the India Mobile Congress 2023, M2M service provider Sensorise announced plans to launch India’s only existing consumer travel eSIM. An eSIM is a digital SIM card that allows users to subscribe to data and internet packages without the need for a physical SIM card replacement.
The eSIM Sensorise aiming to launch is targeted to serve corporate travellers, leisure travellers and students; and intends to provide a cost-competitive alternative to traditional telecom international roaming solutions.
This eSIM will be available in over 190 countries, via the Sensorise mobile App, with options of over 1,000 customisable plans as per the need of the subscriber. The eSIM will be available for use by scanning a
QR code to enable instant connectivity for compatible devices.
The company has said that the proposed eSIM will eliminate the need for traditional physical SIM cards, costly operator roaming charges & the hassle of hunting for public Wi-Fi networks in foreign countries, by providing access to mobile data, and also possibly enhancing savings.
