Samsung unveils next-gen Galaxy Book4 Series with Intel Core Ultra processors
Samsung on Friday launched the Galaxy Book4 Ultra, Book4 Pro, and Book4 Pro 360, calling it its most advanced PC lineup to date.

The Galaxy Book4 series is powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 9 processor. This combines a faster CPU, high-performance GPU, and a newly integrated neural processing unit (NPU), offering new capabilities for AI-driven tasks. It is paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU for a better gaming experience on the devices.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Book4 Ultra users can expect an immersive gaming experience with NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) technology, enhancing image quality for over 500 ray-traced games and applications.
The Galaxy Book4 series boasts an upgraded Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Vision Booster which is claimed to enhance visibility and colour reproduction in bright conditions, while anti-reflective technology minimises distracting reflections. All three models also have touch input.
The series also introduces AKG Quad speakers with Dolby Atmos for high-quality sound. Dual microphones with bi-directional AI noise cancelling, Samsung claims, can provide clear communication during video calls.
The Galaxy Book4 series features a large touchpad, a range of ports (including the new HDMI 2.1 port), and a slim, lightweight design, offering powerful possibilities on the go.
For users who are already in the Samsung ecosystem with Galaxy smartphones and tablets, the tech giant is also introducing Samsung Studio, a new video creation tool, which promises seamless editing of videos between devices, while Photo Remaster on Samsung Gallery for PC is said to optimise photos with AI-enabled corrections.
The Galaxy Book4 Ultra is also said to introduce a new cooling system, which can reduce heat and fan noise with an 11% wider vapour chamber and a dual fan. This, coupled with increased power efficiency, allows for longer usage on a single charge, the company said. The 140W adaptor is also said to enable a 55% battery life boost in just 30 minutes.
For security, the Galaxy Book series features a Samsung Knox security chip at the chipset level. “All three models have a new discrete Samsung Knox security chip that secures critical system data separately, adding to existing multi-layered security efforts with Intel and Microsoft,” Samsung said.
The Galaxy Book4 series will be progressively rolled out in select markets, starting with Korea in January 2024. The Galaxy Book4 Ultra will be available in 16-inch in Moonstone Gray, the Galaxy Book4 Pro in 14-inch and 16-inch with Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver colour options, and the Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 in 16-inch, also in Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver.
