Apple's iPhone XS is one of the costliest phones in the world. And a Russian has bought the phone in a unique method — a bathtub full of coins. Russian citizen Svyatoslav Kovalenko bought an iPhone XS in an exchange of a bathtub full of coins and the retailer could not deny it.
According to Ludmila Semushina, head of that specific Apple Store in Moscow, Russia, Kovalenko walked into the store with a bathtub full of coins and had approximately 100,000 Russian rubles, that is $1,400 — the price of the iPhone XS 256GB variant.
Kovalenko, who is also a blogger, posted the video on the social media forum Instagram and claimed that the bathtub weighed around 350 kg.
The Russian blogger said that the stores in his country most time lack change or small denomination bills. Some even deny serving the customers if they don't furnish the exact amount. The blogger said the video was meant to bring this issue to light.
