Xiaomi's Redmi brand has been making waves in the budget smartphone market with its series of value-for-money devices. Following the recent success of the Redmi 12C, enthusiasts are buzzing with anticipation as the first renders of the upcoming Redmi 13C have been leaked.
While Xiaomi is yet to officially unveil this new smartphone, MySmartPrice has offered an exclusive glimpse into what to expect from the Redmi 13C. These exciting renders showcase several intriguing features that suggest an upgrade over its predecessor.
The most striking aspect of the Redmi 13C's design is its rear camera setup. The smartphone is expected to boast a triple-camera configuration, with the sensors neatly housed within a rectangular-shaped island at the upper left corner of the back panel. Prominently labelled is the 50-megapixel primary sensor, for improved photography capabilities.
On the right edge of the device, we might find the volume rockers and power buttons, ensuring convenient access to essential controls. Additionally, the Redmi 13C sports a waterdrop-notch display.
A speaker grille, a charging port and a microphone have also been spotted on the bottom side while the top edge has a 3.5mm audio jack.
The leaked renders also reveal three colour options for the Redmi 13C: Light Green, Black and Blue. However, it's important to note that these may not be the official names for the colour variants.
Though the details regarding the Redmi 13C's launch date and specifications remain undisclosed, it's anticipated that further information may emerge when the device makes an appearance on certification or benchmark websites in the coming days.
In terms of pricing, the Redmi 12C arrived as a budget-friendly option, starting at Rs 8,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs 10,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage in India. Given this pricing strategy, it's expected that the Redmi 13C will be priced in an affordable range.
The Redmi 12C featured a 6.71-inch HD+ display with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it was powered by the Helio G85 SoC, complemented by a Mali-G52 2EEMC2 GPU. It provided up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The Redmi 12C also ran Android 12 with MIUI 13 on top. Other noteworthy features included a 50MP dual-camera setup, a 5MP selfie camera, a fingerprint sensor, microSD card support, an IP52 rating for some dust and water resistance, a 5,000mAh battery, and 10W charging.
