Tech giant OnePlus has officially confirmed its foray into the world of foldable smartphones, with the highly anticipated debut of the 'OnePlus Open', which will launch in Mumbai on October 19 at an event called 'Open for Everything'.
In a statement, OnePlus said the device's name, 'Open,' symbolises both the foldable form factor and the company's commitment to embracing new possibilities and potential.
Kinder Liu, President and COO of OnePlus, said, "With ... OnePlus's fast and seamless experience, combined with an elegant, lightweight, and slim design, an imperceptible screen crease, unparalleled imaging capabilities, efficient software, and uncompromising quality, the OnePlus Open will redefine the concept of foldable smartphones."
This marks only the third entry into India's foldable smartphone segment — the Samsung Z Fold5 and the TECNO Phantom V Fold being the other two.
