OnePlus Open to launch on October 19 — likely price, specifications and more
OnePlus, last week, announced that it will be launching its debut foldable smartphone, dubbed the OnePlus Open, on October 19 at its ‘Open for Everything’ event.

So far, the company has not revealed too many details about the device, except for a sneak peek about what the foldable is going to look like.
OnePlus also released a statement that the smartphone will come with a range of pre-installed applications.
“To provide the best user experience, a small number of applications will come pre-installed on OnePlus Open. We believe this approach strikes the right balance between delivering a novel and seamless user experience while preserving the stability and security of our products,” it said.
The company appears to have collaborated with mainstream app developers to guarantee that popular apps are compatible with the new folding design. OnePlus claims that it wants to provide users with a hassle-free experience. As an example, the brand mentions Facebook, which is widely used in the company's target markets.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav, however, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that the OnePlus Open could be priced at Rs 1,39,999 in India. He also hinted that the smartphone is expected to be available on October 27.
If the information is accurate, OnePlus' foldable will compete in the market with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, which starts at a price of Rs 1,54,999 for the basic 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration, and the more inexpensive Tecno Phantom V Fold, which is priced at Rs 88,888. Currently, these are the only two book-style foldables available in the country.
Another reliable Chinese source, Digital Chat Station, posted the expected display and camera specs on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to the leak, it is believed to have an internal display with a 7.8-inch AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution, a peak brightness of 2,800 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The cover display is tipped to be 6.3 inches.
The triple rear camera arrangement on the back could include a 48MP primary sensor and a 64MP periscope lens with 3x optical zoom/6x lossless zoom capabilities. The third camera is thought to be a 48MP ultrawide lens.
Furthermore, the tipster claims that the OnePlus Open will receive a 100W charger with 67W fast charging but will not receive wireless charging. The device might run OxygenOS 13.

OnePlus has developed the device with its sister company OPPO and the OnePlus Open will debut as the OPPO Find N3 in some regions.
