Last year, WhatsApp has introduced group voice and video calling feature, which lets users call four persons at a time.
Now, the Facebook-owned platform has come up with a new group voice calling and video calling shortcut update in the form of a dedicated calling button.
The WhatsApp group call button was already rolled out to iPhone users on WhatsApp for iOS and it works similar to standard WhatsApp calling.
Users will be able to add WhatsApp video call contacts in a group from a slide-out tray which contains the contact cards of all the participants in the group.
Previously, users had to start a one-on-one voice or video call, and then tapping the 'add participant' button in the top right corner of the app to add another contact to the call.
The WhatsApp group video calling and voice calling feature was first spotted in a beta build back in November. If you look at WhatsApp group screen, you will see that there is a dedicated WhatsApp call button on the top right corner in the group chats.
The latest WhatsApp Android update can be downloaded from Google Play Store or you can also visit WhatsApp.com/Android.
