Nothing Phone (2a) to launch soon: Check expected launch date, features, price and more
Good news for all the Nothing fans who have been eagerly waiting for the London-based consumer tech company’s next release. The Nothing Phone (2a) is finally official and will be released soon.

Nothing Founder Carl Pei took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the news on Thursday, February 1, saying the company has an “exciting roadmap” for 2024 and the upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) is only the beginning.
While nothing — apart from the name — has been made official yet, here is what we know from the ongoing rumours and leaks of the smartphone.
The device was spotted on the TUV certification website by MySmartPrice in January, which revealed that it is expected to have a 45W charging speed. Now, several Chinese smartphone makers opt for a charging speed as high as 120W in some of their smartphones but the Nothing Phone (2a) speed is quite in line with its competitors like the iPhone SE, the Google Pixel 7a and the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
Pei may also decide to announce the smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) slated to take place in Barcelona from February 26 to February 29. Nothing has an event planned called 'Nothing To See' on February 27 at the MWC. If not the device itself, users can still expect to find out more about it at the event.
Pei first hinted at a smartphone release on January 1 on X (formerly Twitter) alongside an image of what appears to be a dragon. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the phone will likely run on the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, which is said to be slower than the Tensor G2 powering the Pixel 7a. Rumours also suggest that the device could come in two variants — 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB.
It is expected to run on Nothing OS 2.5 based on Android 14 and might come with three years of OS updates. In terms of design, users can expect a toned-down Glyph Interface on the back of the phone, found on previous Nothing smartphones.
The Nothing Phone (2a) could be priced under $400. Indian users can also set up alerts on Flipkart to stay updated.
This will be the company's third smartphone launch after the Nothing Phone (1) and the Nothing Phone (2) since it came into being in October 2020.
Additionally, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF by Nothing announced on Thursday that it will be launching Neckband Pro and Buds soon, without revealing anything else.
