Microsoft is working on a new Android-powered phone and may launch it later this year, reported Windows Latest.
The company’s engineering team is ‘actively working’ on bringing a new model, the report said quoting a Microsoft Store rep.
The phone is not a part of the Lumia series, the report said, adding that the new edition of Android-powered phones will be sold on Microsoft Store.
The rep, however, didn’t give much information regarding the specifications or design of the purported Microsoft Android-powered phone.
Microsoft is pushing its suite of apps on Android and last year the company bought Edge browser to Android along with Microsoft Launcher, the report said.
