Arun Srinivas, Director and Head of Ads Business for Meta in India, emphasised Meta's role in facilitating growth for gaming brands globally through automated ads. The summit also showcased the utilization of innovative technologies such as AI within the gaming industry.
Key stakeholders from prominent gaming brands, including Dream Sports and Baazi Games, shared their experiences of leveraging Meta's advertising solutions to enhance customer acquisition and decrease costs. They highlighted Meta's support in measuring campaign performance and adapting strategies for future initiatives.
The Meta-GWI study reaffirmed the reliance of gamers on social media platforms for game discovery and purchasing, with Meta platforms being the preferred choice. Additionally, the study identified the influence of major events, such as sports tournaments, on gaming preferences, suggesting potential shifts in behaviour during upcoming events like the IPL.
Overall, the study provided insights into the increasing prevalence of gaming in India, Meta's role in facilitating game discovery, and the impact of major events on gaming trends.
