Japan’s NTT Data buys majority stake in Atom Technologies for $9.34 million

Japanese technology firm NTT Data on Tuesday announced acquisition of a controlling stake in 63 Moons-owned payments services provider Atom Technologies for $9.34 million.

Japanese technology firm NTT Data on Tuesday announced acquisition of a controlling stake in 63 Moons-owned payments services provider Atom Technologies for $9.34 million.

In an interview to CNBC-TV18's Yash Jain, S Rajendran, managing director and chief executive officer, said, "We are selling around 55.64 percent stake in Atom Technologies. The transaction period available as per the agreement is about 150 days. We would like to complete it as early as possible."
Rajendran said the company needed approval from National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and other judicial forums, "We wanted to complete the transaction before the end of this financial year."
Talking about revised share holding pattern, Rajendran said, "60 percent will be held by NTT Data and 35 percent will be held by 63 Moons and 5 percent will be held by other small investors."
