The itel ICON 3 smartwatch has made its debut in India, and aims to offer an array of features at an affordable price point. Priced at just ₹1,699, this budget-friendly wearable packs quite a punch. Let’s dive into my first impressions of the itel ICON 3.
Design and display
The Icon 3 sports a rectangular dial design, reminiscent of the Apple Watch Ultra. Its slim profile and rotating crown with a function button give it a sleek appearance.. The 2-inch AMOLED display is a standout feature. With smaller bezels, the screen offers a bright and vibrant viewing experience, even outdoors.
Health and fitness features
The smartwatch boasts over 100 sports modes, catering to various fitness enthusiasts. Whether you’re into running, cycling, or yoga, the Icon 3 has you covered. It includes health-related sensors like SpO2 blood oxygen monitoring and heart rate tracking. These features are essential for keeping tabs on your overall well-being.
Bluetooth calling
The Icon 3 supports Bluetooth calling, allowing you to make and receive calls directly from your wrist. While the voice clarity isn’t perfect, it’s a handy feature for staying connected on the go.
Battery life
With Bluetooth calling enabled, the Icon 3 can reportedly last up to 1.5 days on a single charge. Without this feature, the battery life extends significantly. Considering its price, the advertised battery performance is commendable, though I have yet to put it to the test.
Customisation and watch faces
You can choose from over 150 watch faces to personalise your smartwatch. Whether you prefer a minimalistic look or a vibrant design, there’s something for everyone. The functional crown button makes navigation smooth, and the always-on display feature adds convenience.
Outdoor visibility
The 500-nit peak brightness ensures that the screen remains visible even in bright sunlight. No squinting required! Additionally, the screen lock option enhances security and privacy.
In summary, the itel Icon 3 appears to offer excellent value for money, but watch this space for the full review. The smartwatch will be available on Amazon from March 29, 2024.
