Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been the buzzword in the world of IT for a while now. While AI is transforming lives, it also raises concerns, ranging from security to human rights abuses. While the AI revolution presents great promise, on the other hand, there is also a great peril, especially when it comes to ownership and control of our most intimate data. CNBC-TV18 caught up with Anant Maheshwari, president, Microsoft India; Sangita Reddy, Apollo Hospitals and IT Secretary, Ajay Prakash Sawhney to discuss the issue.
Reddy said, "Healthcare is such a high potential use case. Artificial Intelligence in healthcare is to me is assisted intelligence. The general practitioner (GP) will get smarter, they will be able to do more, health worker or the health team will be far more proactive with the help of AI."
Sawhney said, the national strategy for AI has been articulated by Niti Aayog and it starts with a sentence that AI is poised to disrupt our world.
"So, our strategy really has to be getting India poised to use AI and AI for everyone, AI for good," he said.
