Samsung is committed to bringing artificial intelligence (AI) and hyper-connectivity to the Indian market, according to Jong-Hee (JH) Han, Vice Chairman and CEO of Samsung Electronics.
"India is the next big playground for AI and our flagship Samsung BKC store is an embodiment of our ‘AI for All’ vision and will showcase ‘One Samsung’. At the various zones of the store, consumers can see our AI vision in reality and experience how smarter, better experiences will redefine how we live," Han, who also heads Samsung's Device eXperience (DX) Division, said during his recent visit to Samsung BKC at Jio World Plaza, Mumbai.
He also highlighted India's status as one of the largest and fastest-growing markets globally, presenting a significant opportunity for the Korean tech giant.
"India boasts a burgeoning population of tech-savvy youth who serve as a wellspring of inspiration for our innovations. Here, thousands of ambitious individuals contribute to our research and development efforts, driving the adoption of cutting-edge technologies like AI on a global scale," he added.
Earlier this year, Han introduced Samsung's visionary 'AI for All' concept at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, offering a glimpse into how AI will enhance user interactions with devices, making them more intuitive and convenient.
As a part of this vision, Samsung unveiled Galaxy AI within its latest Galaxy S24 smartphone series, featuring several on-device AI capabilities.
Samsung inaugurated the Samsung BKC store in January, where the brand showcases its latest AI innovations and how they underpin the company's interconnected devices ecosystem.
