The Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA VI) trailer has officially been released by the Rockstar Games on Tuesday. Following the leak of the trailer, the developer of the game dropped the official trailer before its scheduled time.
The long-awaited trailer of GTA VI comes as a surprise for the gaming enthusiast and it is getting a massive response. The trailer has garnered nearly 4.9 crore views within 9 hours of its release on YouTube. Watch the GTA VI trailer here:
Following the release, the trailer has also amassed over 75,000 comments as well. One of the viewers on YouTube wrote, “The attention to detail in the environment is insane! From bustling urban areas to serene countryside, it looks like the map will be incredibly diverse. Rockstar, you've set the bar high!”
Another said, “It makes me happy to see the entire internet bond together to celebrate one thing, and that is this trailer. These 10 years were so worth the wait, I can't believe it's here!”
The one-minute and 30-second trailer of Grand Theft Auto VI shows its setup in the Vice City, which is a fictionalised version of Miami. The trailer also introduces the female protagonist, named Lucia. She is initially seen behind bars and later goes around the city in Bonnie and Clyde-inspired adventures. The trailer also gives a glimpse into the classic GTA elements such as fast cars, guns, money and more.
Meanwhile, after the news of the GTA 6 trailer leaks, the developer of GTA, Rockstar Games, uploaded the official trailer and also posted on the microblogging application X, “Our trailer has leaked so please watch the real thing on YouTube.”

In a press release issued on Monday, December 4, Rockstar Games confirmed that the game will be released to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S in 2025. However, the exact release date of the game is expected to be announced later.
The company also mentioned that the Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold over 190 million units, which was first introduced in September 2013.
