Google's announcement about the Pixel series
On Friday, September 8, Google announced that it'll roll out its Pixel 8 series in India. The tech behemoth shared that Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro models would be available for pre-order exclusively on Flipkart on October 5. Furthermore, the company stated that the Google Pixel Watch 2 would also be available for purchase on the same date.
What are the features of Google Pixel Watch 2?
While the company hasn't revealed specifications about the watch, it has definitely teased the public by sharing a glimpse of its design by posting a video of the product on X. The Pixel Watch 2 might have advanced features compared to the Pixel Watch but it does resemble the model to a great extent. Moreover, the launch of Pixel Watch 2 in India is a notable step by Google since the previous model in the series wasn't launched in the country.
According to various reports, the Google Pixel Watch 2 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 chipset, most probably the Snapdragon W5 or Snapdragon W5+. This is because a Google Search Console listing suggests that the watch would be powered by the Qualcomm SW5100 SoC. Furthermore, the watch is thought to be operated using the recently launched Wear OS 4.
In addition, it promises a 24-hour battery life accompanied by an always-on display. Therefore, it ought to have better features than the previously launched model despite the similar design. Further, it is expected that four new watches, namely, Accessible, Arc, Analog Bold, and Bold Digital, will be introduced with the launch of Pixel Watch 2 in India. Also, it's estimated that the watch would feature an aluminium body.
