ASUS, on Wednesday, introduced the 2024 Zenbook 14 OLED in India, its latest addition to the premium ultraportable laptop series. The laptop was first announced on December 15.
It is powered by Intel’s latest Core Ultra 7 processor and Intel Arc graphics. The laptop offers up to 32 GB RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.
“Intel Core Ultra processors include a dedicated engine to help unlock AI experiences, deliver the next level in immersive graphics, and enable high-performance low-power processing, so users can work, game and create while enjoying long battery life,” ASUS said about the newly launched processors.
It features a 14-inch 3K ASUS Lumina OLED with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 600-nit peak brightness. ASUS has also integrated an FHD IR camera with a physical shutter for privacy and a new quiet ErgoSense keyboard.
The speakers on the laptop are Harman Kardon certified with Dolby Atmos sound.
The Zenbook 14 OLED includes a set of full-size high-speed I/O ports — including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
At 14.9 mm thickness, the laptop weighs only 1.2kg and is said to be 10% more compact than the previous generation.
The 75 Wh battery on the device, ASUS claims, can handle up to 15 hours of unplugged operation. The USB Type-C charging port also adds to the company’s portability claims.
“The specially designed battery supports up to 20% more charging cycles than previous models, protecting the user's investment and helping to maximize the laptop's life,” the company added.
Out of the box, the Zenbook 14 OLED will run on Windows 11. It will be available on the ASUS e-shop, ASUS Exclusive Stores/ROG Stores, Reliance Digital and all ASUS authorised dealers starting January 31. The base model of the laptop is priced at ₹99,990.
