Ola's CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, has officially joined the Artificial Intelligence (AI) race with the introduction of what he asserts to be India's first full-stack AI solution, known as "Krutrim AI." The term "Krutrim" is derived from Sanskrit and translates to artificial.
In an interview with
CNBC-TV18, Aggarwal expressed the company's ambition and mission to develop
AI specifically tailored for India. He highlighted that the AI model was developed within a span of 7 to 8 months with financial support from "friends and family."
Krutrim, resembling a
ChatGPT model, is constructed based on local Indian knowledge, languages, and data.
Bhavish Aggarwal stated that they have a team of a few hundred individuals and are hiring aggressively.
Aggarwal believes that the upcoming two decades belong to India, and Ola, as a representative of the country's youth, sees it as their destiny and journey to actively contribute to the development of India into a Viksit Bharat, echoing the vision articulated by the
Prime Minister.
