Apple on Tuesday, October 31, launched a MacBook Pro that will be powered by the third generation of computer chipsets — the M3, M3 Pro and M3 Max — which it also unveiled at the 'Scary Fast' event. The entire 30-minute video was shot entirely on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and edited on a Mac, the first time Apple issued this disclaimer at the end of one of its product launch presentations.

The new MacBook Pro comes in three variants — with a 14-inch display powered by M3; 14-inch and 16-inch models powered by the M3 Pro; and a MacBook Pro model powered by M3 Max, with support for up to 128 GB of unified RAM. Apple said the new models boast of 22 hours of battery life on a single charge. All models have a 1080p webcam.
Apple said the M3-powered MacBook Pro is 11 times faster than an Intel-chip-powered MacBook Pro, and has a 'Liquid Retina XDR Display' with a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. The M3-powered MacBook Pro is aimed at students and creative professionals, working on music on Logic Pro, the M3 Max-powered machines are aimed at software developers, and the M3 Max-powered Pro is aimed at Machine Learning engineers.
The MacBook Pro models powered by the M3 Pro and M3 Max now come in a new colour scheme — Space Black, marking the first time a MacBook is sold in black ever since Apple started manufacturing the laptop with a unibody aluminium chassis. The new MacBook Pro is also available in silver.
The new MacBook Pro runs macOS Sonoma out of the box. The 14-inch model will cost ₹1,69,900 (M3), ₹1,99,900 (M3 Pro), ₹3,19,900 (M3 Max), while the 16-inch model will cost ₹1,69,900 (M3 Pro), and ₹3,49,900 (M3 Max). The 14-inch M3 and M3 Pro models come with 8 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, and 18 GB/512 GB, respectively, while the M3 Max model comes with 36 GB/1 TB. For the 16-inch model, the M3 Pro comes in 18/512, and the M3 Max model comes in 36/1 TB.
The new MacBook Pro models are available for pre-order on the Apple Online Store right now and will ship starting November 7.
