Apple may launch Vision Pro headset in global markets by June, says analyst
Apple is likely to release its mixed reality headset, the Vision Pro, outside the US market before the Worldwide Developer’s Conference 2024 in June, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo suggests that Apple is planning to share more development details about the visionOS with global developers at its annual conference, which typically takes place in June.
“If Apple can launch Vision Pro in non-US markets before WWDC 2024, it would be beneficial for promoting the global development ecosystem of visionOS,” he said.
The reasons why Apple limited the initial Vision Pro launch to the US, as Kuo states, are because of limited supply, ensuring that the sales process in the US market goes smoothly and requiring time to modify the algorithms to comply with regulations in other countries.
“The sooner the above issues are resolved, the sooner Vision Pro will be available in more countries,” he says.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also said in the latest edition of his newsletter Power On that Apple is planning a complicated sales pitch with a 25-minute long demo session for the customers. Several of the retail employees were also called to the company headquarters in Cupertino, California to understand the process.
In the demo, a retail worker scans the user's face using an app, akin to setting up Face ID. This scan informs the demo host about the appropriate light seal, foam cushion, and band size for the customer. The light seal, designed to prevent outside light leakage, is available in over 25 shapes, while the cushions come in two sizes.
For people who wear glasses, stores feature a device to scan lens prescriptions. The system then provides the numbers, with an extensive selection of demo lenses readily available in-store. And the demo will begin after.
Additionally, Apple has begun its two-part in-person sessions for reviewers before being sent the device for review.
YouTubers Marques Brownlee (MKBHD), Justine Ezarik (iJustine), and Wall Street Journal’s Joanna Stern among others shared their experiences with the device on X (formerly Twitter), which was their fourth demo since the announcement of the device at the WWDC 2023.
According to them, the experience is extremely immersive but the device feels heavy on the head. Apple is giving users the option to opt for either only the Solo Knit Band, which goes around your forehead or pair it with a Dual Loop Band, which goes above your head for a better fit and lesser strain on your neck.
