Apple iPhone XS Max vs Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Here's how the two premium phablets stack up against each other
Apple on Wednesday introduced its largest iPhone ever, the massive 6.5-inch iPhone XS Max.

With Apple now offering a phablet at a premium price point, comparisons are bound to happen with Samsung's popular Galaxy Note series, particularly the South Korea-based tech giant's August offering, the Galaxy Note 9, which sports a 6.4-inch screen.
Here's how the two premium flagship models from Apple and Samsung stack up against each other:
Price: Samsung has an edge over pricing as Apple iPhone XS Max starts at $1099, while Galaxy Note 9 costs $999.99.
Operating System:  The Apple iPhone has the latest iOS 12, while Note 9 runs on Android 8.0.
Display and screen: At 6.4 inches display size, Note 9 lags behind iPhone XS Max's 6.5 inch display with a screen resolution of 2688x1242. Note 9 comes in a screen resolution of 2960x1440. The iPhone has Super Retina OLED screen, while Note 9 has Quad HD+ Super Amoled screen.
Processor: iPhone XS Max sports the new A12 Bionic chip with 64-bit hexa-core powering the CPU, while Note 9 is run by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 with 2.8GHz octa-core.
Storage: iPhone XS Max offers three storage capacity variants - 64 GB, 256 GB and a massive 512 GB. Note 9 base storage starts at 128 GB giving more value for the money, while higher storage variant is of 512 GB. Samsung's phablet also has an option to further expand memory via microSD cards.
Weight: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is lighter at 201 grams against Apple iPhone XS Max's 208 grams.
Camera: Both phablets offer a 12 megapixels rear camera, but Samsung's front camera is slightly better at 8 megapixels compared to iPhone XS Max's 7 megapixels.
Battery: Samsung Galaxy Note 9 houses a 4,000mAh battery, however, iPhone XS Max's capacity is not known yet.
Charging: Both phones offer wireless charging options.
