Apple could announce refreshed iPad models this week: Report

The current-generation iPad Air, which debuted in the spring of last year, is powered by an M1 chip. According to the Supercharged claim, the iPad Air will be upgraded to the M2 chip.

The new iPad mini should use an A16 Bionic chip, which is a little upgrade above the existing A15 Bionic chip. According to an earlier claim, the new iPad mini would also include a new display controller to lessen the impact of the jelly scrolling issue seen on current-generation iPad minis while scrolling material.

The iPad's base model was updated a year ago, making it the latest in the series. The tenth-generation device featured a thinner bezel, new colours, and a Touch ID side button. The A14 Bionic chip is now powering it. It's unknown what the rumoured 11th-generation device will employ, but if the iPad mini gets the A16, it's possible that the base model iPad will also.

The iPad Pro lineup is expected to remain unchanged for the time being. It was last upgraded in October 2022, and the next-generation models aren't due until later next year. For the first time, the next-generation iPad Pros are rumoured to include OLED panels.
