Given that the AIIMS servers have already been compromised, cyber criminals in India have stepped up their attacks on the websites and patient information systems of other medical and research organizations.
On November 30, hackers tried to attack the Indian Council of Medical Research’s (ICMR) website more than 6,000 times in a span of 24 hours,” a government official from the National Informatics Centre (NIC) said.
When asked about the details of the attackers, the official said that the series of attacks on the ICMR website was made from a Hong Kong-based blacklisted IP address.
