VerSe Innovation raises $100 million

Homegrown platform VerSe Innovation, the company behind short video platform 'Josh', today announced it has raised another more than $ 100 million in a series-H funding.

Homegrown platform VerSe Innovation, the company behind short video platform 'Josh', today announced it has raised another more than $ 100 million in a series-H funding.

This round was led by global investors Qatar Investment Authority -- the sovereign wealth fund of the state of Qatar, Glade Brook Capital Partners, Canaan Valley Capital. Existing investor Sofina Group also participated in this round. Virendra Gupta, founder and Umang Bedi, co-founder of VerSe Innovation, spoke to Startup Street about this fund raising.
9Unicorns, the accelerator fund of startup incubator venture catalysts, has announced the second close of its fund. This comes after the company raised Rs 100 crore from investors that included homegrown snacks maker Haldirams. This brings the total fundraise to Rs 200 crore, six months after the first close at Rs 100 crore in august last year. Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, MD and co-founder of 9Unicorns, spoke to Startup Street to discuss the company’s future plans.
