Startup Street: Urban Company's Abhiraj Bhal says firm hopes to onboard 1 million partners by 2025

Homegrown services marketplace, Urbanclap, on Thursday announced that the company has been rechristened as Urban Company. While Urban Company will continue to be the master app, with this move, the startup will also be rebranding various verticals and making them sub-brands.

The architect of India's data protection framework has slammed the government's proposed legislation in its current form. Justice BN Srikrishna, who headed a panel that made recommendations to the government on data protection,  on Thursday spoke out strongly against the Personal Data Protection Bill floated by the government. However, Tejasvi Surya, member of the joint parliamentary committee for Personal Data Protection Bill, said that most of the concerns will be addressed by the Joint parliamentary committee (JPC).
