The third edition of the India Mobile Congress kicked off in the national capital on Monday. The spotlight on the first day of the event was on 5G.

Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad was present at the event. Addressing the gathering, he said that the 5G spectrum auction shall be done this financial year. He also added that the government is alive to problems of industry players and that it is working to solve their issues.
CNBC-TV18's Startup Street team also caught up with the likes of Cisco, Huawei, Ericsson, Oneplus and Intel to get a sense of what they make of the 5G opportunity in India and what would be a likely timeline for 5G to become a reality out here.
Also, on a day when the IRCTC debut on the stock exchanges saw a bumper listing, we discuss what is holding internet companies back from going public with Ishita Vora, Head, Primary Markets and Listings, NSE and Alok Bansal, Co-founder and CFO, Policybazaar.
