Dream11’s Harsh Jain & Haptik’s Aakrit Vaish to co-chair tech entrepreneurs association of Mumbai
The Tech Entrepreneurs Association of Mumbai (TEAM) on Tuesday concluded its first-ever elections and announced an eight-member Governing Council to be co-chaired by Dream11 co-founder Harsh Jain and Haptik co-founder Aakrit Vaish for a two-year term starting April 1, 2024.

Other members of the elected Governing Council for 2024-26 are Vishal Gondal (Co-founder & CEO, GOQii), Dhruvil Sanghvi (Founder & CEO, LogiNext), Akanksha Hazari (Founder & CEO, LoveLocal), Mayank Kumar (Co-founder & MD, upGrad), Naiyya Saggi (Co-founder, The Good Glamm Group), and Vivek Khemani (Co-founder, Quantiphi).
The elections saw the participation of 46 Mumbai-headquartered unicorn and soonicorn founders, including BillDesk, BookMyShow, Games24x7, LEAD School, Nazara Technologies, Shaadi.com, PharmEasy, Pine Labs, Purplle, Rebel Foods, The Good Glamm Group and Zepto.
The election has come just a month after TEAM, which was formed in October 2022 with a mission to advance Mumbai’s tech ecosystem, held its first-ever flagship event—Mumbai Tech Week—to provide resources, networking opportunities and support to tech startups in the city.
“The first year of TEAM was simply putting Mumbai tech on the map. It was about galvanising the existing community of unicorn and soonicorn founders,” said Aakrit Vaish, co-founder & CEO, Jio Haptik and co-chair for TEAM.
“Now that the foundation is in place, the next two years are going to be all about grassroots development. We want every young founder and engineer to start thinking of Mumbai as one of their top choices to build a startup,” added Vaish.
The association claims its members have a combined valuation of over $50 billion and have created over 10,000 jobs. TEAM is attempting to leverage their experience and network to provide a supportive environment for cementing Mumbai as a hub for the venture and startup ecosystem.
TEAM aspires to create macro and micro-communities of founders and CXOs for mentorship opportunities for younger ventures, along with building infrastructure and skilling capabilities with government, venture and corporate partnerships.
