India captain Rohit Sharma was seen spending some quality time with Mumbai's Ranji team during their final match against Vidharbha at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. Rohit gave a pep talk to all the players, MCA honorary secretary Ajinkya Naik told The Indian Express.

"Rohit came and met players during the Ranji Trophy finals and spent 20 minutes with them. The MCA had taken permission from the anti-corruption officer and he was allowed to meet the Mumbai players,” said Ajinkya Naik.
Sachin Tendulkar was also present to watch the proceedings at the stadium. On Tuesday, Musheer Khan slammed a stunning hundred against Vidharbha in the Ranji Trophy final and broke Sachin Tendulkar's record to become the youngest Mumbai batter to hold a ton in finals.
Musheer and skipper Ajinkya Rahane marched ahead after Mumbai lost their openers early. The pair took the score to 141/2 on Day 2 by scoring 50 each. Resuming the batting on Day 3, Musheer took control of the bat and scored his second first-class ton in three matches in the 90th over.

If the second day was all about Mumbai adopting a cautious approach to build their lead, day 3 witnessed their batters ramming home the advantage with a definite plan and execution as they put on 418 in their second innings. Vidarbha were 10 for no loss in their second innings with openers Dhruv Shorey (7) and Atharva Taide (3) unscathed, needing another 528 runs to win with two days left in the game.
