Hardik Pandya reunited with his former franchise Mumbai Indians and held a press conference as the skipper of the team ahead of IPL season 2024. After having two successful years for Gujarat Titans, Pandya returned to Mumbai Indians after an all-cash deal trade deal in November 2023.
Pandya takes over the MI leadership duties which was originally led by Rohit Sharma, who won five titles making him Mumbai's crowd favourite.

Returning from a three-month injury layoff, Hardik said Rohit is still India's captain and praised whatever the team has achieved is under his belt.
“There won’t be any confusion. He is still the India captain. What this team has achieved was achieved under his belt. I am just carrying it forward. I have played all my cricket with MI with Rohit as captain, so I am sure he will always be around to help me out,” Hardik said in a media interaction on Monday.
