Suryakumar Yadav stunned the crowd at the Holkar Stadium in Indore with his powerful strokeplay and six-hitting abilities in a fantastic knock of 72 runs in 32 deliveries in the second One Day International (ODI) against Australia in Indore on Sunday.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) star came within touching distance of scripting history as he smashed Australian all-rounder Cameron Green for four consecutive sixes in the 44th over.
Green pitched a half volley angling into the batter for the first delivery that was flicked over long leg. For the next delivery, he lifted one over the fine leg fielder for another maximum. Green took the line way outside off stump for the third ball, which was hoicked over the extra cover fielder to bring up three consecutive sixes. Lastly, the bowler pitched one on the slot that was then smashed over the mid-wicket fielder in the fourth ball of the over.6⃣6⃣6⃣6⃣The crowd here in Indore has been treated with Signature SKY brilliance! 💥💥#TeamIndia | #INDvAUS | @IDFCFIRSTBank | @surya_14kumar pic.twitter.com/EpjsXzYrZN

Just as it appeared that that Suryakumar could come close to hitting six consecutive maximums, Green landed the ball full and on the wide line that the batter couldn't get past the fielder at short third man. However, the batter's quickfire knock comprising six fours and maximums each ensured that India cruised to a total of 399 at the end of 50 overs.
